SUMMARY:49th Annual Orange Beach Festival of Art
DESCRIPTION:The 49th annual Orange Beach Festival of Art is set for March 11-12 on the joint grounds of the Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach and Waterfront Park on Canal Road. Festival hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival is completely free with public parking located at both the Island Church and the Orange Beach City Hall complex. Shuttle service is provided with an all-day pass for $5. Bike riders and golf cart drivers can park on the Arts Center grounds with easy access to the event.\nThe festival will feature more than 100 booths of local and regional fine art\, plus exciting acts on the performing arts and music stages. Festival goers may also enjoy live visual arts demonstrations\, savory gourmet offerings and the Kids Art Alley. \nFor more than 48 years\, the Festival of Art has been our island’s first rite of spring. It is a celebration of visual\, performing\, musical and culinary arts. The show was selected as Best Art Show in Alabama for three of the past four years by the luxury magazine “ALABAMA” and is currently ranked nationally at #25 for the top 100 fine art and design shows. \nThis fine arts festival is completely free with music and entertainment featured on two stages. SUMMARY:31st Annual Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show
DESCRIPTION:The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Wharf. The festival is the major fundraising event for the Makos Academics Arts & Athletics Club (MAAAC)\, which directly benefits Orange Beach schools. Each year\, more than 15\,000 people attend the fundraising event.\nThe Annual Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show will return to the Wharf on Saturday\, February 25\, 2023. The 31st annual event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. \nThe festival is the major fundraising event for the Makos Academics Arts & Athletics Club (MAAAC)\, which directly benefits Orange Beach schools. Each year\, more than 15\,000 people attend the fundraising event. \nThe annual festival features a full day of delicious food\, 100+ artists from throughout the South\, and music for the whole family to enjoy on two stages. In addition\, there is a large Kids’ Zone with activities\, and a huge car show – featuring antique\, classic and hot rod vehicles all along Main Street. \nThere is no admission charge to the event and plenty of parking. Volunteers from Orange Beach schools help park cars and donations are accepted in support of our schools.  \nTypical food selections will include Fried Shrimp\, Oysters\, Fish\, Seafood Etouffee\, Seafood PoBoys\, Crawfish Boil\, Jambalaya\, Shrimp Tacos\, Red Beans and Rice\, Seafood Gumbo\, Crab Cakes\, Chicken on a Stick\, Seafood Nachos and more. Snack items will include kettle corn\, old-fashioned sodas\, cotton candy\, and more. Each year\, there are Pepsi stations\, and MAAAC volunteers run beer tents\, which started during the 2022 festival. \nThere’s something for everyone from our Arts & Crafts booths – handmade jewelry\, metal yard and garden art\, beach-art inspired signs\, homemade candles\, glass bird feeders\, nautical décor\, 3D cut glass art\, clothing and many other art\, crafts and specialty items.  \nThe vendor deadline for the 2023 event was December 2 and festival is now full.
